On Tuesday, January 30, 2007, the Feast of the Three Hierarchs, His Grace, Bishop JOSEPH received His Grace, Bishop MAXIM, the Serbian Bishop of Western America, at the Los Angeles Chancery.

The two Hierarchs exchanged brotherly greetings on the front porch of the Chancery and then proceeded to the dining room for lunch. The Hierarchs discussed a wide range of topics that affect the Orthodox Church including the need for Orthodox unity in North America. The Hierarchs discussed ways to deepen and strengthen the bonds between the various jurisdictions in North America. They also discussed the importance of the Hierarchs working together as Orthodox Bishops and have committed to keep their minds focused on Orthodox unity in North America.
